Concrete needs to be protected to help extend the life of the product. What you want to do is apply a barrier between the concrete and the elements (weather, salts and vehicle runoff). Sealer is applied to all of our applications to combat the harsh effects of the Canadian climate and other contributing factors.
Concrete needs to be maintained and should be sealed after initial pour and then on average every 2 to 3 years after that, depending on wear and tear. This can vary depending on exposure and use of the area. You can extend the life of your concrete product considerably if it's properly maintained.
Concrete Sealer is a single component, clear acrylic coating formulated to withstand the extreme conditions of interior and exterior service such as exposure to UV sunlight as well as temperature fluctuations.
Patterned Concrete® Niagara is in no way liable for the life of the sealer. It is up the customer to maintain this product, when they feel it's necessary. We do not manufacture the sealer and have no ability of controlling its life expectancy or durability. We are constantly working with our supplier to better improve the longevity of the product.
Patterned Concrete® Niagara can:
• Repair cracks
• Repair spalling & scaling
• Repair parging
• Add anti-slip agents
• Strip old sealer buildup
• Restore shine & lustre
Before & After
This image shows the right side of the driveway before being resealed and the left side after being resealed. As sealer breaks down, the protective barrier weakens and the appearance dulls. Applying a new layer of sealer will bring back the look of a new product and protect your concrete from many damaging elements.
As you can see with this image, after being resealed your concrete product will look as if it was just poured. This will beautify and protect your product for several years, again extending the life of the product and protecting it from many damaging elements.
